JOB DETAILS:
Qualification
Education, Skills and Experience
• Diploma in Transport Management or Logistics.
• Driving license BCE or its equivalent with 5 years’ experience as a Driver or at a comparable position and a valid certificate of good conduct

Duties and responsibilities:
• Implementations of transport policy as approved by the university management.
• Proposing improvement in the existing transport system.
• Ensuring the proper inventory of all components of vehicles are maintained checked frequently.
• Ensuring that the maintenance, oiling and servicing schedule of vehicle followed.
• Keeping records and /or history of drivers and accidents.
• Maintaining duty rosters of drivers and mechanics.
• Arranging for retraining and re-certification of drivers and registration and certification of vehicles.
• Submitting regular and comprehensive reports to the transport manager.
• Ensuring safe parking of vehicles at the university.
• Coordinating the schedule for major and periodic vehicle maintenance management and staff to minimize service interruptions.
• Monitoring and controlling the pick-ups and delivering of students as per the route and schedule.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the transport manager.
