JOB DETAILS:
Superintending Engineer (Roads) - CPSB 07 (1 Post)

Duties and Responsibilities
An officer at this level will be assigned roads engineering duties and will work under close supervision of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities include:-
• Detailed design, supervision of construction and maintenance of classified and unclassified roads
• Design of bridges and other drainage structures
• Preparation of tender documents
• Assist to oversee Quality Control of County Projects
• Performing any other duties as may be assigned

Requirements for Appointment
• Served in grade of Assistant Engineer I (Roads/Materials) or a comparable and relevant position for at least three (3) years
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution.
• Must be registered with Engineer’s Registration Board of Kenya
• Current valid annual practicing license from the Engineer’s Registration Board of Kenya
• Corporate Membership with institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK)
• Attended a Project Development and Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution
• Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
