JOB DETAILS:

Key Responsibilities
• Attend to walk in and referred paediatric patients both out and in patient.
• Receive and resuscitate newborns in Theatre and Maternity.
• To offer paediatric consultancy to all the doctors in Avenue Group.
• Run the paediatric outpatient clinics.
• Provision of superior diagnostic, preventative and interventional medical care.
• Accurate and clear documentation of patient history, physical examination, investigations and management.
• Provide clarity of investigations to be carried out and interpretation of the results and ensure update to the patients, next of kin and conduct family conferences on need basis.
• Facilitate patient admissions, necessary consents and discharges.
• Counsel clients on treatment and compliance to treatment (patient and family) while ensuring their participation in decision making in their management.
• Carry out procedures (paediatric) while ensuring high quality of care/services and safety of patients.
• Participate in morbidity and mortality meetings as required.
• Any other duty as assigned by your immediate supervisor in line with the job description.

Personal Specifications
• Masters degree in Paedriatric and Child Health. Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery
• Specialist recognition in Paediatrics and Child Health
• EPALS, ETAT
• 2 years experience Post Masters degree
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Team player and results oriented
• Customer focused
• Ethical and reliable
