PAC (Pan Africa Christian) University, a Chartered Private University, is seeking to fill the positions outlined below from suitable candidates. Applicants must be born again Christians and active members of a local Church.

Administrative Assistant – Housing and Hospitality

Reporting to the Manager – Housing and Hospitality, the incumbent will be involved in the day-to-day management of the student Hostels, staff housing the University Restaurant, University cafeteria, PAC University Guesthouses and Airbnb facilities and market them to increase the revenue stream.

Minimum Requirement

  • A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University in hospitality management in or a related field
  • Have at least 3 years’ experience working in a similar context
  • Demonstrate knowledge of principles and processes which guarantee customer satisfaction;
  • Be a detail-oriented person; a good team player and possess good customer care skills;
  • Have effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must be a person of high integrity and unquestionable character

Senior Library Assistant

This position reports to the University Librarian and will be responsible for providing efficient circulation services to  library users

Minimum Requirements:

  • An applicant must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University in in Library Information Sciences
  • Experience working in a University Library is desirable;
  • Have 3 years’ experience in a busy big context Library;
  • Have experience in the use and management of e-resources.  
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills;

Housing and Hospitality Manager

Reporting to the Registrar Administration, the incumbent will oversee the Management of the University Restaurant, University cafeteria, maintenance of Student & Staff Housing, and manage and market PAC University Guesthouses and Airbnb facilities in an efficient and profitable manner.

 Minimum Requirements

  • Must possess a Master’s Degree from a recognized University in Hospitality and Hotel Management or Tourism Management or a related field of study
  • Have 9 years of administrative and leadership experience preferably in the hospitality industry and/or in university students’ accommodation services; five of which must be at the Assistant Manager level.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of principles and processes which guarantee customer satisfaction;
  • Be a detail-oriented person; a good team player and possess good customer care skills;
  • Have effective interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work independently;
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must have knowledge of health and safety procedures in Hospitality;
  • Be good natured, calm under pressure and flexible in managing time for the position involves a flexible schedule and requires someone who is willing to give attention at odd hours;
  • Must be a person of high integrity and unquestionable character.
  • Have Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills;
  • Possess strong negotiation, facilitation and influencing skills competence in an administrative context;
  • Understand and adhere to PAC University Statement of Faith.

ICT Assistant

This position reports to the Head of ICT and will support for the efficient operations of the University systems, databases and networks ensuring effective service delivery to the users.

 Minimum Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 3 years relevant experience in a busy big context preferably in a university.
  • Cisco professional certification
  • ICT security certification or experience will be an added advantage
  • Working knowledge/experience in Information Technology with hands-on experience in LAN, WAN and Wireless networks.
  • Experience with website development and maintenance
  • Working knowledge/experience with IP telephony systems (VoIP) will be an added advantage
  • Experience in ICT security administration.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to research & solve complex issues independently.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new skills and apply them as needed.
  • Ability to effectively communicate issues and resolutions to all levels of the organization.
  • Flexibility to work beyond regular office hours.
  • Understand and adhere to PAC University Statement of Faith.

ICT Manager

Reporting to the Vice Chancellor, the incumbent will provide support to the department in the formulation and implementation of PAC University’s ICT Strategy, development of information technology and Communication systems, and management of ICT Security.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: an earned Master’s Degree from a recognized University in Computer Science, Information security or a related field;
  • BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT Security or related field;
    • A minimum of nine (9) years’ experience in a busy computer systems security environment, Five (5) of which must be at the Assistant Manager level.
  • Experience working in a university context or in maintaining a 500+ node site will be an added advantage;
  • Professional Certifications: MCSE, CCNP, CERT, CISA, CISM, or any other relevant certifications;
  • Experience of working on full life cycle implementations across multiple versions of Navision;  
  • Demonstrate experience in the management, control and support of ICT services and a track record in developing ICT solutions;
  • Have Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills;
  • Possess strong negotiation, facilitation and influencing skills competence in administrative, financial and academic leadership in an academic/research context;
  • Understand and adhere to PAC University Statement of Faith.

Key Responsibilities for the ICT Manager

  • Development and implementation of ICT Objectives, strategies and operational plans in relation to PAC University Strategic Plan;
  • Development of service delivery strategies and design ICT and Learning Management System (LMS) Solutions;
  • Development and Implementation of a service policy and with appropriate performance indicators;
  • Re-assess and re-define the organization-wide standards in hardware, software, ERP, LMS and other ICT services;
  • Provide technical, functional and organizational guidance and support to projects and LMS ;
  • Monitor and coordinate the implementation and adherence to ICT policies, procedures and standards;
  • Provide oversight and supervise all technical aspects of the use of the LMS platform for E-learning and teaching
  • Co-ordinate technical support and services to faculty and students on all aspects of the use of the LSM platform for online learning and teaching
  • Strengthen capacities for staff and students in the use of the LMS platform and other related facilities
  • Supervise the generation of learning analytics to support and enhance quality assurance for online learning and teaching.
  • To optimize the LMS platform functions to enhance its effectiveness and efficiency for online teaching and learning
  • To enhance online exam integrity through the establishment and/or installation of the requisite devices, procedures and processes.
  • Train users on the application of ICT technologies that can help optimization of the LMS for the enhancement of learning and teaching
  • To act as the liaison between PAC University and the service provider in all technical aspects of the LMS Platform and ICT Infrastructure
  • Plan and direct the implementation and operation of the common ICT and E-Learning Infrastructure;
  • Guide the assessment of PAC University challenges in relation to the new technologies;
  • Supervise all staff in the ICT Department; Advise on ICT staff recruitment and develop the capacity of ICT staff;
  • Preparation and management of the annual ICT and E-Learning budget;
  • Advise the management on effective and strategic use of ICT and the LMS platforms and related cost reduction opportunities;
  • Prepare ad hoc, quarterly and annual reports on all ICT and E-Learning activities and projects for the enhancement of online learning and teaching, and management of ICT Infrastructure
