Chief Instructor Passenger and Baggage

Detailed Description        

  • Principal Accountabilities (KEY Performance areas): Accountability (Responsibility) 
  • Anticipate, understand and resolve performance and capability improvement needs in the company’s function 
  • Work with Functional Director and line managers to identify technical and professional capability and development needs 
  • Assist the function to diagnose specific capability, competence and skills gaps and enable the design and delivery of learning and development solutions to close them 
  • Lead the definition of technical and professional competences, competence levels and pre- and post appointment training requirements and ensure they are included in role profiles and within the learning management system 
  • Ensure the addition of behavioral competences, competence levels and training requirements to role profiles. 
  • Prepare and manage functional training budgets to ensure adequate provision for the training programmes 
  • Prepare and update learning and development materials to keep up to date with the developments and trends affecting performance of the function 
  • Ensure that regulatory training and certification of competence is addressed to meet role requirements, external audit standards and emerging global trends. 
  • Establish and develop a team of learning and development specialists with the capability to diagnose, design, deliver and evaluate learning in line with functional needs 
  • Manage a team of learning and development specialists to ensure effective performance and customer satisfaction 
  • Ensure the availability of operational Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) so that there is adequate flexibility and expertise 
  • Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of technical and professional development provided to the function in relation to performance requirements 
  • Support advertising and marketing of courses to external commercial customers 
  • Adapt and customize training to meet customers’ requirements 
  • Contribute to the achievement of commercial objectives for training 
  • Think and act like an entrepreneur to support the business in revenue generation. 
  • Plan, organize and schedule the delivery of programs in collaboration with the functions in order to enable easy access and full participation 
  • Prepare and deliver the training to the selected participant to enhance knowledge and skills. 
  • Prepare, administer and mark examinations to assess the effectiveness of the training. 
  • Ensure up to date training records 
  • Support in the development, monitoring and implementation of e-learning 
  • Provide Return on Investment (ROI).

Job Requirements        

Knowledge and Experience 

  • Hold a University degree. 

Additional Qualifications 

  • Must have completed Management of Training course 
  • Must have completed Quality Management Systems course 
  • Must have completed Training Needs Assessment course
  • Training of Trainers Course 

Years of Experience (Minimum) 

  • At least three (3) years of relevant experience as a Training Instructor in either Passenger Handling or Baggage Handling or Fares and Ticketing

Crew Tracker

Detailed Description        

Principal Accountabilities (KEY Performance areas): 

  • Track and monitor crew movement, position and schedules to ensure availability of adequate crew complement. 
  • Ensure the roster is run as close as possible to the published roster to maintain requirements of Fleet Agreements and Regulatory requirements. 
  • Communicate flight and other related information to crew and family and any other authorized parties at base and out of base in order to improve efficiency in information management. 
  • Monitor closely crew check in/check out times to ensure flights operate on time and to enable the alerting of SBY crew in good time to minimize delay. 
  • Prepare and advice the crew movement to transport provider to ensure prompt pick up and drop off of crew. 
  • Ensure implementation of safety, security and emergency standards at all times. 
  • Ensure and maintain a healthy, safe and secure working environment in compliance with the relevant industry, regulatory and legislative requirements, company procedures, regulatory authorities and requirements of customer airline

Job Requirements        

Knowledge and Experience Qualification (Minimum) 

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant diploma.
  • Minimum 5 yrs experience in airline operations.

  • IT skills 
  • Customer Service skills 
  • Experience in workforce planning

Other Skills 

  • Good command of MS Office applications 
  • In-depth Knowledge of Collective Bargaining Agreements and Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulations 
  • Communication and negotiation Skills 
  • Trained user of Cabin crew management system

 

Assistant Supplies Officer

Brief Description        

The role of an Assistant Supplies Officer is to re-cycle and pack in-flight materials to minimize wastage and ensure availability as per required in-flight standard loads. They make sure packaging and issuing to flights is done on time and no delay to flight departures caused by late delivery of lines/blankets.

Detailed Description        

  • Packing labelling and recording of In-flight materials for KQ flights as per approved standard loads. 
  • Receive and verify stock returns from outstations and credit back into the system for accountability 
  • Receive, verify and recycling of in-flight materials so as to minimize stock losses and wastage. 
  • Stock record keeping ensuring accountability. 
  • Binning of re-cycled and packed material as per laid down procedures to ensure both safety and accountability. 
  • Ensure testing of headsets. 
  • Ensure packed amenities, headsets and blankets are handed over to cabin groomers with a register book. 
  • Ensure safe handling of stocks and documentation according to company procedures.

Job Requirements        

  • Diploma in any business course preferable in supply chain 
  • 2 years working experience in a busy environment 
  • Knowledge of how to handle materials safely. 
  • Time management to ensure materials and delivered to flights on time 
  • Proficient knowledge and use of excel sheets for reporting
