Requirements for Appointment
• Served in the grade of Medical Engineering Technologist II for a minimum period of three (3) years;
• Diploma in Medical Engineering or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
• Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution; and
• Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Implementing medical engineering programs and project;
• Providing user support;
• Undertaking preventive maintenance and repairs of medical/hospital equipment, plants, furniture and instruments;
• Installing medical equipment and furniture of medium technology;
• Providing specification for spare parts and consumables;
• Maintaining inventory of medical/hospitals equipment, furniture and plants;
• Processing information for research;
• Updating and maintaining information on medical engineering services for input into the integrated health information management system; and
• Sensitizing users on use and maintenance of medical equipment.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 36

Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
