Competencies

Ability to undertake data analysis, including data mining; to develop analytical tools, such as dashboards and reports; and develop analytical products to show patterns and trends. PLANNING AND ORGANIZING: Develops clear goals that are consistent with agreed strategies. Identifies priority activities and assignments; adjusts priorities as required. Uses time efficiently.

Education
• Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in business administration, management, information technology, computer science, or a related field is required.
• A first-level university degree (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) in combination with two (2) additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
• Successful completion of both degree and non-degree programs in data analytics, business analytics or data science programs is an advantage.

Work Experience
• A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management, change management, or related area is required.
• Experience in using technology to provide support to intergovernmental or legislative processes is required.
• Experience in dealing with procedures, policies and practices of intergovernmental bodies and /or legislative machinery is desirable.
• Experience with data warehouse, data analytics, reports, and dashboard design and development is desirable.
• Experience in the United Nations system or comparable international organizations is desirable.
• Experience in managing project budgets is desirable.
• Two (2) years or more of experience in data analytics or related area is desirable.

Languages
• English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is desirable.
