Responsibilities

The Junior Accountant will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Assisting with the preparation of financial statements.
  • Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts.
  • Supporting the accounting team with month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Assisting with audits and tax preparations.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience

A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an accounting role is preferred. Fresh graduates with a strong academic record and relevant internship experience will also be considered.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in our Nairobi office. We offer a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.
