Duties and Responsibilities
• Design and programme Specifications
• Carrying out IT and lCT equipment and network analysis, design and programme specification in liaison with users;
• Coordinate system analysis, develop security for ICT systems, ensure timely implementation and effective maintenance of systems and supervise overall systems documentation;
• Taking charge of ICT equipment maintenance)prepare progress reports for the ICT equipment maintenance
• Develop reports on ICT standards;
• Evaluate and recommend on the suitability of ICT equipment's; Designing Local Area Network ( LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) I Keep abreast with changes in technology and advise the Board accordingly
• Develop an innovative and inspired ICT team and re-evaluating their skills and output to ensure delivery of results;
• Ensuring appropriate database administration, data backups and recovery procedures
• Ensuring effective and efficient use of ICT resources within the Board
• Any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor

Requirement for appointment
• Be a Kenyan citizen
• Served in the grade of senior ICT officer or in an equivalent and relevant position in the pubic service for a minimum period of three (3) years;
• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in computer science/information systems or an equivalent qualification;
• Must be conversant with information systems security
• Demonstrated high management capability and competence in computerized information systems.
