DEPARTMENT OF DENTAL TECHNOLOGISTS

Requirements for Appointment
• Have completed at least three years in the grade of deputy chief technologist;
• Have demonstrated outstanding administrative capabilities, wide experienced and technical competence in the organization and management of dentistry supportive services at a national or provincial hospital or in training as Head of the department of Dental Technology in a college of Health Professionals; and
• Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Duties and responsibilities
• Management of dentistry supportive services at the national and provincial hospital.
• In addition, duties and responsibilities will involve;
• Participation in planning and organizing dentistry supportive services. Alternatively, an officer at this level may be Head of department of dental technology in the college of Health professionals where he will be responsible for planning, curriculum development, implementation and evaluation of training programmes.

Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
