JOB DETAILS:
County Legal Counsel I – CPSB 09 (3 Posts)

Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to Solicitor General, the duties and responsibilities will include:-
• Undertaking Research on assigned legal issues.
• Representing County Executive in court proceedings.
• Giving legal opinions on matters relating to County Executive Functions.
• Drafting, vetting and interpreting document and agreement for and on behalf of the County Executive and its agencies.
• Performing any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements for Appointment
• Served in the grade of County Legal Counsel II or in a similar and relevant position for a minimum period of three (3) years.
• Bachelor of Law (LLB) Degree from a recognized institution.
• Postgraduate Diploma in Legal studies from Kenya School of Law.
• Admission as an advocate in the High Court of Kenya.
• Current Practising Certificate.
• Fulfilled all the requirements of Chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Demonstrate understanding of National Values and Principles of Governance and Public Service as stipulated in Article10 232 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.
