JOB DETAILS:

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -
1. a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B:Ch.B) degree from a university recognized in Kenya;
2. successfully completed one (1) year Internship from a recognized institution; and
3. a Certificate of registration by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.

Duties and Responsibilities
An officer at this level will work under guidance of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:-
1. diagnosing , caring and treating diseases;
2. performing medical and surgical procedures;
3. preparing and responding to emergencies and disasters;
4. participating in management of medicines, medical instruments and equipment;
5. providing health education;
6. maintaining medical records health Information and Data;
7. counselling patients and their relatives on diagnoses and bereavement;
8. teaching and coaching medical students,
