• Undergraduate degree in education, business development, community development, or relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working in the education sector, with youths, social welfare, career development, or any other related programs.
• Experience developing and implementing learning development, training, and coaching.
• Experience co-ordinating youth mentorship in career development programs –
• Experience on supervising volunteers or any other individuals.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, and teleconferencing platforms.
• A Generation Kenya Alumni – added advantage

Other requirements
• Position is located in Kenya and holder speak and write fluent English.
• He/she must have the right to work in the Country.
• Ability to travel frequently within Kenya, and potential occasional travel in the counties.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Learner and Alumni Engagement responsibilities
• Maintain consistent and frequent contact with learners and Alumni.
• Mentor and serve as a role model to learners in the GPK programme.
• Under the direction of the Co-ordinator, implement assigned activities.
• Support and attend all training programs which prepare learners, Alumni and Mentors to fulfill their role.
• Assist with the data compilation and reporting efforts.
• Support in organizing alumni networking events, job fairs while collecting feedback to improve the overall function’s strategy.
• Support the establishment of alumni groups, volunteers or committees.
• Perform necessary administrative functions such as record keeping, report writing, correspondence, and maintain schedules.

Mentorship responsibilities
• Hosting introductory events geared at meeting mentees.
• Situating mentees by informing them of GPK’s procedural norms and initiatives.
• Alerting mentees to potential adjustment-related obstacles and issuing them with suitable resources to help negate.
• Support the development of Mentorship Materials and Tools e.g., Baseline and End Line Survey Form, Mentors and Mentees Training Manuals, Mentoring Guide, agreements, Gap analysis templates, Journals, Case Study Templates, and other reporting templates suitable for the program execution.
• Assist in preparing gap analysis briefs/reports and upskilling of mentors.
• Coordinate the day-to-day logistics and meetings between mentors and mentees.
• Coordinate attendance and participation in all the mentorship sessions and prepare and submit monthly mentorship reports.
• Scheduling follow-ups to gauge mentees’ progress.
• Co-ordinate and report mentor-mentee bonding initiatives to facilitate mentees’ social orientation.
• Supporting mentees during stretches of psychosocial and professional hardship.
• Attending mentorship meetings to share headway, concerns, and details regarding upcoming mentorship events.
• Reporting for in-depth review and participating in problems solving on all mentorship pressing concern
• Any other responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time

Requirements for the position of part-time Lecturer
• An earned PhD or equivalent degree qualification (or a Master’s degree qualification in special cases) in the relevant field from an accredited and recognized university; and be registered or registrable with the relevant professional body (where applicable);

• Have a Master’s degree in the relevant field from accredited and recognized university with at least one (1) year teaching experience at University level;
