RESPONSIBILITIES
• Plan and conduct audits to ensure compliance with company policies and SOPs.
• Participate in the development and implementation of internal audit policies and procedures in compliance with Internal Auditing Standards and in accordance with local and international best practices.
• Review monthly sales reports ensuring accurate recording in the ERP system.
• Observe and ensure that proper periodical inventory counts are executed across all warehouses and reconciliations are done between system records and physical count values.
• Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings.
• Conduct ad hoc audits and investigations into identified or reported risks.
• Complete audit work papers by documenting audit tests and findings.
• Prepare reports on areas audited ensuring complete, accurate, and timely audit information is reported to management.
• Any other tasks as requested by line manager and/or senior management.

In this role, you will be a key member of Victory Farms Kenya’s senior management team and report to the CEO with significant collaboration from the rest of the C-suite. Your core responsibility will be to set and implement the Human capital strategy for the organization. This will include organization development and design, talent management, learning and development amongst others. Our ambition is to be the world’s leading player in sustainable aquaculture by deploying the best technology, processes and attracting the best talent.
Your three (3) primary responsibilities will consist of:
• Capacity and capabilities development to match business needs from talent acquisition to training and development and performance management
• Reward and remuneration management to support and drive a high-performance culture
• Employee relations and culture development ensuring VF empowers its employees and provides a nurturing environment for them to excel
Qualifications
• 7-10 years of experience within the different HR functions (talent acquisition, training and development, admin, etc.)
• Experience in a large corporate with structured world class HR standards and processes
• Experience in an entrepreneurial venture or rapidly scaling organisation implementing best practises, systems and processes
• Experience with a diverse work force. Over 500 of our workforce is blue collar living in rural Kenya. In many cases VF is their formal employer. There is also a white-collar workforce spread across our logistics and sales network
• International exposure given VF also has none-Kenyan staff
• Capacity to understand and drive system implementation to support HR strategy and function
• Fluency in English and Kiswahili are a must. Fluency in Luo a significant plus given our presence in Western Kenya
• Ability to engage with all levels of the organisation, from senior colleagues to blue collar workers
• A successful candidate will possess a strong work ethic, ability to work in teams, intellectual curiosity, and ability to structure and solve problems
• Managed a budget and demonstrated financial acumen
• Bachelors or Masters in Human Resources
