Main purpose of the job
The position holder has the responsibility of achieving the deliverables outlined in the USAID Tujenge Jamii Project RMNCAH work-plan. The STO- FP/RMNCAH/PMTCT/WASH/Nutrition will serve as the onsite technical resource person in ensuring development, integration, coordination, and implementation of clinic-based and outreach FP/RMNCAH/PMTCT/WASH/Nutrition services within the project.

Job Description
• Participate in the design of training curricula and other training materials as well as service delivery guidelines, protocols and standards of practice for the project.
• Conduct capacity building of Tujenge Jamii and County technical staff in FP/RMNCAH/PMTCT/WASH/Nutrition technical issues including integration with other services such as HIV & AIDS and with other sectors.
• Participate in the tracking, monitoring and documentation of technical achievement and evaluation of the FP/RMNCAH/PMTCT/WASH/Nutrition activities regarding access, integration, quality, and service delivery impact in collaboration with other partners.
• Establish and maintain relationships with County Ministry of Health Departments, TWGs and collaborating partners to ensure effective coordination and collaboration.
• Offer technical support during all stages of FP/RMNCAH/PMTCT/WASH/Nutrition planning and implementation. Maintain documentation and monitoring systems in close collaboration with the project Counties and other relevant IPs.
• Maintain smooth flow of information within UTJ and with the County’s (Nakuru for FP/RMNCAH/WASH/Nutrition and all counties for PMTCT) Director for Health including the County RH and PMTCT Coordinators, including other County Department of Health officials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Nursing or Medicine with 5-7 years’ working experience in FP/RMNCAH/PMTCT in a technical capacity, three years of which must be in experience working with integrated health programs or;
• Diploma in Clinical Medicine, Nursing or Community Health and Development with 7-9 years’ experience. Postgraduate training will be an added advantage.
• Experience in training and supervision of large MNCAH programs and familiarity with the relevant MOH Policies/Strategy & guidelines and procedures.
• In depth understanding of US Government or other Donor Funded programs.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and excellent computer skills in MS Office Suite. Demonstrated technical assistance and consulting experience related to public health responses to FP/RMNCAH/PMTCT service delivery.
• Demonstrated leadership in facilitating multi-sectoral alliances and partnerships at local, national, and international levels in FP/RMNCAH/PMTCT.
