The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP] is the world's largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide, delivering food assistance in emergencies and working with communities to improve nutrition and build resilience. Each year. WFP assists some 120 million people in around 128 countries.

The WFP Regional Bureau. Nairobi intends to identify qualified suppliers of beans, maize, salt, wheat, rice and vegetable oil who are able to supply food to WFP to fulfil beneficiary's needs in the Eastern and Central Africa region. WFP's region of East and Central Africa (RBN] covers Burundi. Djibouti. Ethiopia. Kenya. Uganda. Rwanda. Somalia. South Sudan. Eritrea and Tanzania.

Prospective suppliers must be registered with the relevant authorities in their domicile countries and have a legal authorization to provide this commodity in the country where the food is needed.

WFP hereby invites eligible suppliers to express their interest by emailing the required set of documents to wfp.rbnprocurement@wfp.org referencing the subject “Response to EOI ref. No RBN22E0I001".

The deadline for response to this request for EOI: 15.12.2022,17:00 hrs EAT.

WFP will not consider incomplete or unsigned submissions. All responses and supporting documentation received will be treated as strictly confidential and will not be made available to the public.

Please note that this is not an Invitation To Tender. Rates/prices are not required at this stage, and this invitation does not bind the World Food Programme to issue any tenders or contracts to the companies expressing their interest.

WFP does not charge any fee for companies to access its surveys, questionnaires as well participate in the entire shortlisting process.
